Editorial Reviews:

The Health-o-Meter HDC100-01 "Grow with Me" Teddy Bear Scale is a first-of-its kind consumer baby and toddler scale. As your child grows, the scale easily converts from a tray to a platform, making this a versatile and cost-effective device for weighing your child as he develops from a newborn to a toddler. The large, easy-to-read 1.2-inch LCD display is front-facing so reading the weight is a breeze. Also, for added accuracy with small children, the scale weighs in half-pound increments up to 60 pounds. Calibration is a snap with a "zero out" feature that allows you to adjust for the weight of clothing or a diaper. The scale can be operated with or without the tray. When using the tray, make sure that it is securely locked into place before placing your baby on the scale. Simply lay your baby on the tray and read the display. To use the scale without the tray, you'll need to remove the tray by turning the locking nut clockwise. The tray is replaced by four rubber plugs and a supplied plastic cover tab. Once the cover is in place, hold your baby upright on the scale, and place the baby's feet so that the weight is evenly distributed. Of course, everyone knows that a baby rarely holds still. Health o Meter has an answer. If your child is moving, press the "Hold" button to lock in the correct weight. This function displays the baby's average weight for the time period.

User Comments about the Health o Meter HDC100-01 "Grow with Me" Teddy Bear Scale for Babies and Toddlers

Amazon is such a worst company, worst customer support, worst policies with delivery. Buy products from some American company, where they have call center in USA.

The lactation nurse suggested weighting him occasionally after feedings. We were nursing and we never knew how much he was getting as he never seemed satified. It does show a different between when he eats well and when he is not so interested. So we have been weighing our little one before and after random feedings. I got this for my preemie after he was having weight issues. As a test we weighted some empty bottles, then added 2-8 oz of milk. As a nurse I feel it has been a good reference and makes me more confident to continue nursing. It always read perfect.

I like the tare and hold function. I love this scale for weighing my baby and my chihuahua. I wanted to make sure my baby was gaining weight appropriately between doctors visits. Overall, much better product than I anticipated for the price. Its heavy and durable, the part where you put the baby is plenty big.

I'm very happy with this scale. It seems like a good quality product and I really love the 'hold' feature - very useful with a wiggly baby.

This is a good scale for infants. The "hold" feature that allows you to get a weight even when the baby is moving, fidgeting, squirming etc is great. Its within 4 oz of the readings we get at the doctor's office. We do wish it was a little longers so that our baby's legs wouldn't stick out (she's 10 months now).
