Editorial Reviews:

Introduce a new level of accuracy to your band saw with our Precision Band Saw Fence. KREG designed this fence with noted band saw expert Mark Duginske to produce an unprecedented level of rigidity, adjustability, and precision. The fence is adjustable in two dimensions for ease in setting it parallel to the blade. Cutting accuracy and repeatability is further enhanced by the precision lens curser that reads off of the included scale. Mounts to most 14 inch band saws including Jet, Delta, General, Grizzly, and many others. Available with an optional Micro-Adjuster and Resaw Guide that allows drift angle adjustments to made on the fly while cutting.

User Comments about the Kreg KMS7214 7-Inch Resaw Guide

There isn't much one can say about a resaw guide. It has a nice color and is very sturdy.

Delta SM400 Shopmaster 3 Amp 9-Inch Benchtop Band SawThis tool like most everything Kreg makes is finely made. I'm going to get the smaller one too. The machining and anodizing are exceptional. It sets up easily if you have their fence and not too much bother if you need to match it to someone else's.

For that matter even bigger saws will suffer this problem if the work is hard.99% of the problem can be resolved by makinging sure the wheels are balanced and coplanar, the guides are set correctly, the blade sharp, and the fence is adjusted to cut straight. Let's begin with the statement that all bandsaws below 18" will have a tendency to wander under resawing pressure unless they are perfectly aligned. It got me through the rough times before I did get my saw right, and when you're resawing this is one of those twenty dollar gadgets that gan be worth enough to pay for a better saw. The plate has a curve to it that allows you to shift the angle of work to the blade on the fly. There's a series of struggles the typical bandsaw owner goes through as one moves from cutting shapes - where a little bit of wantering can be compensated for - to resawing, where accuracy and stability have a direct financial effect. The latter involves a bit of a trick, because this isn't about getting the fence square to the blade, but getting the wood feeding at the right angles so that the blade cuts evenly. Nowadays it sits in a drawer waiting for those trips to a friend's shop where the saw is less predictable. If you do all that you can cut down to veneer without this gadget. If for one reason or another your fence isn't adjustable enough and you don't feel like making a compensating jig, then this guide is a life saver.

After fighting for years trying to resaw wood evenly, I had given up. If you were like me and have trouble resawing wood with a drifting saw blade, buy this tool and you won't be disappointed. Along comes this tool and even an amateur like myself can resaw perfect bookmatched pieces almost every time. With a little adapting, it even mounted to my 16" Grizzly band saw.
