This pole saw exceeds my expectations in nearly all categories. Recommendations to the user: A) Remember to lubricate the chain B) Do not use the center extension section if not necessary to reach higher limbs C) For more than casual use, to remove a few limbs at a time, purchase an extra battery. Keep up your good works. I want to add my positive review for this pole saw. My congratulations to Black and Decker - this is one of my favorite all-time tool purchases.
I have used the saw to trim several trees on my residence in Houston, and also on my vacation retreat near Lake Livingston. The saw performs excellent for removing limbs in the range of 1 inch to 3 or 4 inches. I have tightened the chain only once (it was needed). My recommendations to the manufacturer are only the obvious: 1) lighter weight 2) a little less flexibility through the extension section 3) variable speed in response to trigger pressure 4) increased power storage in the battery.
I returned the Pole Chain Saw after only 5 minutes of operation. Do not buy this item. It labored trying to cut through a 1 inch branch. It took so long that I gave up, and picked up my dull old bow saw, which cut quickly and easily.
excellent product. would highly recommend this product have all the other black & decker cordless trimmers and sawa.
I was undecided between a gas powered one and electric. You can save hundreds of dollars doing this work yourself and not having to hire a professional with similar tools. Being 6ft + myself, I don't think I will be needing a ladder much. I intend to use it for general tree triming around my 1 acre home in Florida.
Just a few years of clearing dead or overgrown limbs you will have gotten way more then your moneys worth. This is 2ft better then the gas powered ones I was considering. Watch when you insert the battery, if you do not push it all the way in and hear the click, the battery will fall out once you tilt the unity up to use it. Excellent run time on the battery, able to use it for my entire yard and it did not die even after almost 2 hrs. Cuts great and does just what many of the other reviews indicated about going thru 5-6in limbs.Cons - Box came a little beat up but nothing was broken. I did a bit of shopping around before I decided to chose this B&D battery powered chain saw.
Here are a few pro's and con's of the unit.Pros - Has one of the longest extensions available at 14ft. This is a great feature. No other real cons at this time.If you are a general gardener or handyman this is a great item and I recommend it. Not very heavy and easy to menuver. Having a good deal of experience with gas powered devices as well as electric devices this model suited my needs better and came at a great value for the dollar. Charging was pretty quick and efficient.
Great product B&D.MJV (Not continuous) Easy to assemble, adjust and use.
I tried to use it to cut them. But it does not working.I checked the review and nobody mentioned the same problem.Anyone can help resolve this problem. If the problem is resolved, I would change my rate.Thank you very much.(When you comment my revew, your comment would send to my email. It was working for several cuts. I thought the chain had problem so I bought two new chain. It is still not working: the chain is moving but it can not cut anything. Many buyers rated 4-5 stars and they are very lucky.
I would like to change my rate if this chain is working again.I bought it about 1 year on amazon.com. But it suddently became not working. The snow last week crashed several tree's sticks. I bought another two batteries. I hate that I rate it 1 star. It still not working.
Thanks in advance) I started to think about the battery.
