I purchased one of these template sets for possible future use but found that the included template guide doesn't fit my Skil 1810 router. You're supposed to lower the router guide through the template BEFORE you turn it on. The correct parts (SKIL 91905 Router Guide Bushing Set (4 pc) and Skil RAS140 Template Guide Adaptor) are available on the Amazon site but I'll probably delay buying them for now.To the reviewer who complained that it's nearly impossible to lower the spinning router bit through the templates without destroying them, I say READ THE DIRECTIONS.
You get what you paid for. I found it to be a great product for the price.
The item looks very cheaply made. Until then I can only comment on the appearance and quality of workmanship. I'm waiting for the opportunity when the need arises to carve out some message in wood. receiver product as promised. It appears that after on use that it will be ready for the trash bin. Neither of which is very impressive. I still have not used it.
I didn't expect a high end tool for this price, but this is practically useless. I should have put the 7 bucks towards one of the better sign template sets. Trying to lower a spinning router bit through the very small letter template without chewing up the side of the template is nearly impossible, and one slip and your letter template is chewed up, as are 2/3's of the ones I tried to use.
