We bought 2 and one stopped working within a week of Christmas. Have held up well to indoor play so far. Can't wait to try it in the water. This is a nice little remote control car for younger kids. Best we've found yet if you are looking for a remote control car that is simple, durable and fun (they spin pretty fast, reverse, forward, climb a little).
If your getting more than 1 make sure you check Kid Galaxy website and get ones of different frequency or they cannot be used together. Emailed Kid Galaxy and they sent me a new one, no hassle. They are both working well now. We sue rechargable batteries and they do fine.
Purchased this for my 6 year old son and he enjoyed it while it worked. Very disappointed in make and durability and will not buy these series again. Unfortunately the on/off switch broke in one day.I also purchased the Stingray and the movement is far slower than the shark. I don't know if it was designed that way or a defect.
this toy is fun and very durable but it is a little hard to operate for the little ones it took my son a while to figure out the controls
We taped the batteries in and thought we'd still give it a try. Not a lot of fun. I will say that the refund process was easy and quick, and we got all of our money back within a week. We thought this car would be perfect for our 4 year old, but there were problems from the beginning. We finally gave up and sent it back for a refund.
The battery compartment on the remote control did not stay closed (there was a rattle inside - probably a small internal piece had broken off). Unfortunately, the car did not operate correctly. It would move a few inches and then stall out and not move at all, regardless of how we moved the remote control levers. When it would move, it only made left turns.
it is loads of fun. He has been playing with it for days now. The best toy I have ever gotten for my 4-year old son. He has taken it to the beach, on the rocks, in the swimming pool. Very highly recommend it. The car has done great.
