Editorial Reviews:

Leaving a rosebud on the finished siding is a thing of the past when using the Bostitch N66C-1 pneumatic nailer. Now you can drive wire weld and plastic inserted coil nails in to all types of siding materials such as wood panels or wood siding, fiber cement board such as Hardie Plank and even light gauge steel. By simply adjusting the depth guide you can "power nail" decking, fencing and some heavier shingle materials. The lightweight body, just 4.4 pounds, is easy to handle and the durable aluminum body will add years to the life of the tool. The N66C-1 is designed with a soft rubber foot to prevent scarring or damage to the working surfaces plus an adjustable exhaust port that can be easily set to divert the exhaust away from the user. A handy rugged storage/carrying case is included to prevent accidental damage and to keep the tool clean. --C. Dwight Barnett

User Comments about the Bostitch N66C-1 1-1/4-inch to 2-1/2-inch Coil Siding Nailer with Magnesium Housing

Bought the nailer to put engineered wood siding on my house (LP Smartside). The depth setting was not quite as straight forward as with the Hitachi but worked well once the desired depth was found.I used 2" and 2 1/2" nails and both worked well. Nailer worked great.

The nail gun is light, very responsive and the adjustible exhaust is nice too. The price was very good, my compressor is a 5 hp, not a huge unit and with 100' of hose I was a little worried about it being able to keep up, the nailer works fine. This nailer was purchased for a home project, whole house re-siding job and has worked out really well.

easy to load, easy to use, a real work horse, with 1 1/4 in ring shank galvanized nail--does an excellent job. this gun is great. if you are nailing plywood, don't look any further. in other reviews, i read that the wire collating holding the nails together remains after this gun shoots the nail. very very happy with this gun./s/ a weekend handyman & homeowner not so when i used it.

Great nailer, no major problems. Would recommend this item for sure. One or two jams during the whole house project but nothing to complain about.

Overall, I was disappointed as it seems to mess up just when I'm holding a piece in an awkward position and want to nail it quickly (I'm always cussing it). I bought the nail gun for a siding job at my house. It seems to work okay about 85% of the time. The other 85% of the time it works great and I'm soooo glad not to be nailing by hand. The other 15% I seems to get jammed and mis-fires.
