I bought this to use in a walk-in closet and so far it does just what I hoped it would do, which is turn on the light whenever the door is opened.

This product does the job, however, the light must be at a level that is low enough to catch movement. First Alert PIR720RN Motion Sensing Light Socket I wanted it at my doorway, however, the light is located higher than 5' so it did not work.

We love it. We were tired of the pull chain on our closet lights breaking and hanging up. This product was the perfect solution. The product was shipped and received in a week and in good condition. The light comes on when you open the door and stays on about 5 minutes.
