I suggest you dont shop on amazon after you've been drinking. If you want to buy mine, Contact me. i bought this with great intentions, but i have still not even taken it out of the box. Looks good though.
I have yet to keep track of exactly how many "shots" I get from one charge with an 18 gauge nailer but it is not very many. If I did not have easy access to 110v then I may give the unit another star for portability.I bought the Hipshot to keep costs down and it WILL "get the job done". I am currently working "inside" with close access to 110v so I have to carry two items (Hipshot + gun)instead of just one with a regular compressor. Would be a poor choice without the second battery. While working on a project I am continually swapping batteries. Time will tell (other projects) if I should have ponied up for a regular 110v compressor. If I was working any faster I would need a 110v compressor.
I am seeing posts from others saying that units must be returned at your own expense. I ordered one of these back in January used it twice and it died. Exchanged it for a second one which I used three times and it died. Seriously not worth the hassle. At this point I am not even sure it is worth returning.
I am using th e18 guage brad nailer and have had no problems. Palmgren 92101 HipShot 12-volt Ni-Cad Tankless Cordless Shoulder Strap CompressorI was given this tool for my birthday. I have used it doing several small jobs and really enjoy how light and easy it is to use. I would recommend it for any handymans tool bag.Michael I keep a battery charged so always have power.
The compressor stopped working the second time I used it. Mark Down Alley was wonderful and took care of the problem. Palmgren wasn't much help, although they sent new batteries (still didn't work).
