Makes great cuts and easy to control. Cant believe I;ve went without one all these years. Cuts out sheetrock nice & clean and in no time at all.
No complaints, other than about my handyman ability. Item arrived in near-new shape without problems. The packaging was a little threadbare with no hardcase or softcase. CPO is the only way to go. I'm new to this rotozip scene and butchered up some drywall as I learned how to use it.
The Rotozip failed to live-up to my expectation. In terms of feel, the Milwaukee router felt more well-built and balanced. In summary, this Rotozip is a use-once-a-while tool for a home-owner, not for commerical application. I bought a this Rotozip from HomeDepot priced at $60 and a special floor tile bit for the purpose of cutting curves on floor tiles. But to be fair, my Milwaukee router is almost $200.00.
The special floor tile bit was a complete disappointment--see my reviews on X-bit. In tight corners, its greatest attribute is its small size relative to a full size router. However, handling and manuevering the Rotozip is less secure because the Rotozip lacks the two handles found in a full sized router. While this tool is smaller than my full sized Milwaukee router, the powerful Milwaukee operated smoother with less vibration.
This product worked well and and is durable. It was dropped a couple of time in the beginning trying to get your hand into the strap. The cost of the unit is outstanding. We have since removed the strap and have used it on may jobs.
As a woman, I love learning new things but the manual is lacking. I bought this full price many years ago. I always found it reliable and powerful enough to get the job done. Customer support is very nice, however. Cutting tile is messy but it cuts tile easily to fit the tile in an odd angle. The only complaint I have is the instruction manual included with the purchase of items (right angle saw in particular) needs to be expanded.
