This light goes on when you are about 10' away, isn't too bright at night, goes off shortly after it now longer detects motion. If it were in a dark hall, it might go on during the day. We have it in our bathroom in a plug beneath the window. Once the sun is fully up it stays off.
I like this product very much, however only 3 out of the 5 that I recieved are still working, they have a limited lifetime warranty so I will be sending 2 back to the manufacturer for replacements.Even so, I would buy again because it is a great product, but it is a sad fact that their quality control is terrible, at least for the batch of nightlights I bought, (40% failure rate in the 1st week). Like most small electronics these days, they are not made in this country, however that is no longer a good excuse for poor quality control.
VERY GOOD. WE USE IT FOR THE HALLWAY,IT WORKS.I DONT LIKE GE,BUT, IT WORKS GREAT,VERY BRIGHT.
They work BUT you need to unplug them every morning - no off or on switchThey will stay on even when its light.""Most"" of the TimeIf they didn't stay on during light hours.the off and on button wouldn't be needed
I would definitely recommend - it's great. What's great is that it turns on with motion and when it's dark so it's not wasting energy when you're not in the room. I use this night light in my bathroom and it is perfect - it's bright enough that I don't have to turn the light on after sundown unless I'm doing something that involves needing REALLY bright lighting like showering, painting my nails or doing my eyebrows. It's attractive, lightweight and a great little light. I purchased a second one from Walmart because it was a few bucks cheaper. I would recommend using in a bathroom, hallway, kitchen or bedroom at night - somewhere where you need light only when you're in that area.
