The small ratcheting box end design allows access to tight spots where a ratchet and socket or a conventional ratcheting box end will not fit. The GearWrench moves a fastener along any length threaded rod without ever having to remove the wrench from the fastener. Surface Drive box end virtually eliminates the rounding of fasteners.

We bought this wrench to fill out an incomplete set we purchased on sale at Sears.These wrenches are well crafted and work smoothly. My husband reaches for these most often.We plan to finish the set out ASAP.McDonald's North Central Florida Requires little space to ratchet.Highly recommend them.

As a bonus, I also use GearWrenches on nuts that are on bolts that are too long for a socket to reach. GearWrenches are very handy for close quarters, like when I am working on a front-wheel drive engine. The flat design (not offset) gets me into places that regular box wrenches will not fit. I bought this GearWrench to fill out a set I had bought that skipped some of the common metric sizes. The ratcheting action gives me the same functionality as a socket wrench.
