Not much to say about this product. It is a good choice for soldering wire, no issues.
The solder worked great. My electronics repair project was successful thanks in part to this solder. It also soaks extremely well into Techspray de-solder wick, if you have to re-do any work. I used this solder to replace blown capacitors on my G5 Imac logic board. I found a couple of cold solder joints in my work (out of 25 installed capacitors) but I attribute this to being a newbie at electronics soldering and a relatively cool solder iron. I recommend. (50 watt) These were repaired on a second go, however. The solder flowed well and held the capacitor leads fast.
It's leaded solder - if you're doing PCB/electronics soldering, it's what you want. For the price, you can't go wrong. (lead-free junk is icky to work with in comparison) The solder thickness is also pretty ideal for PCB/electronics applications.Needless to say, it's always good to have some solder around and a 1 lb. spool will last you a while.
This is the old fashioned leaded solder with flux in the core. The small diameter is suitable for a wide range of applications. It works.
I decided to try the uper Solder Wire and I was not disapointed although I had some doubts it would do as good a job as the traditional Rosin Core solder (which I also ordered, just in case.).
