User Comments about the DEWALT D51431 Heavy-Duty 1-Inch to 2-Inch 16-Gauge 1/2-inch Medium Crown Stapler

You cant go wrong here. great value for a great tool. This was the deal of a lifetime. This was such a good deal I was suspicious at first but I have used the stapler on several houses without a flaw and I couldnt be happier. It would have been nice if it came with a case but a great value as it is. I even bought one for a friend.

I haven't used this stapler for more than a couple of hours so far. Very happy with the performance and price. I purchased the staples suggested by the Amazon website. No problems.

There is alot more plastic on this model than aPasload but it seems ok. I figured for the price (compared to a Pasload) and the DeWalt name I'd give it a try anyway. When I read the reviews for this product, all three said they had jamming/feeding issues. It's proved to be a good preformer. Bottom Line so far so good and I think I made a good decision. I've put 1 box of staples (10,000) through it and it has preformed flawlesly.

It is lightweight and easy to handle. I have used a Stanley Bostitch older style and newer style many times, and in my opinion the DeWalt is much better. I have used this product on the last couple of jobs that I have done and it is an excellent tool. For about $250.00 less. Great Product. I have not had one jam and that was a reoccurring problem with the Bostitch.

after firing if you release the trigger before lifting gun off the material it will not fire the next time you pull the trigger. DeWalt help us out here. First, I like DeWalt equipment, especially my workshop-table saw. Other nailers don't have this problem. I only like sequential triggering - here's the problem: The gun will not fire every time you pull the trigger unless you follow a strict sequence- i.e. You must hold trigger down until gun is lifted off the work piece or else the head will not re-extend for next shot. Thinking this just can't be right, I took gun to DeWalt service center in Little Rock.

But this new nailer I don't like. This idiosyncrasy is very frustrating. If you like the bump trigger you won't see this problem. They said that's the way it is.
