In spite of our height differences, my husband is 5'11" and I am 5'3", the pieces were carried level, the weight was evenly distributed and there was no stooping or straining involved. It worked awesome and greatly reduced the amount of effort needed to move the items. It is so reasonably priced that it is well worth buying even if you only have a few things to move. My only regret about this purchase is that I did not make it years ago. So far I've used the Shoulder Dolly to move 3 things: a sleeper loveseat, bookcase and tv stand. The shoulder straps are wide and comfortable. I'm confident I will be using (and loaning out) the Shoulder Dolly for years to come. The adjustable carrying strap has been more than long enough and easy to adjust.
Its heavy duty and easy to use. We received the product on time and it was exactly what we expected. My wife and I were able to get some furniture moved that we would not have otherwise but our backs paid the price. The product does come with ample warning that this is the case. As usual the order process with Amazon went perfect. It certainly takes the strain off your arms to lift heavy objects. I would recommend this for the occasional move but not for use of a prolonged nature. But that strain goes right to your back and shoulders.
Just as advertised. Well worth the cash. This made moving A LOT easier. Especially carrying those cement lined front loading washers upstairs.
My son (21 and thin) and I had no problem moving the entertainment center using the system and towards the end were looking for other things to move and interesting ways to use it.Some specific comments:1. We did FAR LESS DAMAGE to walls and other interior objects, since we were able to focus more on walls and less on lifting. There is virtually no arm strain using the product, since you place the strap under whatever you're moving and instead use your leg/torso muscles to do the work.3. entertainment center. OK.I admit to normally dutifully reading product reviews and being overly incredulous whenever anyone provides too glowing of a recommendation.
The strap was long enough to allow us to go lengthwise on mattresses.which was a real benefit when trying to navigate a mattress through an apartment door.4. But.THIS THING IS AWESOME.I moved my 23 year old daughter's things from her apartment including a 300 lb. The straps are adjustable and easy to adjust, since they are literally in front of you on your waist. That was a huge benefit. All in all.this was one of the smartest purchases I've ever made. So, if one person wants the product raised higher and is occupied doing something with his hands, the other person can adjust and "pick up the slack".2.
If you have tight spaces where you can't get more than 2 people to help lift these are the only solution. We tried using the arm straps and could not budge our front load washer. We had to move it from a upstairs laundry room to main floor laundry room in our new house, thank god it was on the main floor. I would highly recommend these. Those washers are HEAVY.
