THIS IS MY FIRST JIGSAW. THIS IS ONE VERY WELL MADE PRODUCT. IT TOOK ME A WHILE TO DECIDE WHICH ONE I SHOULD GET. AFTER USING THIS ON MY FURNITURE PROJECT AND THE BLADES I USED, I KNEW I MADE A VERY GOOD PICK.

If you like buying quality tools that last a long time this is one to get. I'm glad they provide a caseit helps protect the saw, and there's plenty of room for blades as well as the long power cord. Make sure to get some Boschjig saw blades as well, the reverse tooth blade is excellent for laminates.
As already mentioned, the precision control feature causes the saw to wander. My old $39.00 black & decker cuts better than this thing. Also, although the shoe has a center dentant at 90 degrees, it's so sloppy that it is useless. Setting this thing to 90 degrees is a trial and error process requiring a square.
what a difference. used it to cut 1x10's for a basement window box and the cuts were easy and accurate. pleasure to use. just purchased this saw after using a Sears jig saw for the last 25 years. no vibration, accurate and easy to control. will never try to avoid using this jig saw as i did with the Sears. the Bosch blade cut through the wood easily and accurately.
