This is by far the finest jigsaw I have ever used. I've been using this to cut 3/4" pre-finished oak flooring and it goes through it like a hot knife through butter. It has a ton of helpful features such as a small blower to remove sawdust from where you are cutting, a quick-release blade system, a very nice carrying case and many others. Although it is tempting to go cheap on a jigsaw--some are available for as little as $40--you won't regret this purchase.
this was a heck of an upgrade for me considering that i had a craftsman jigsaw before. blade changes are super easy, the dust blower works well and it has ample power to cut through whatever you are working on with the proper blade the bosch is so smooth and balanced.its a pleasure to work with.
I switched it out at Woodcraft and ran into the same problem. The face and the insulated handle on the saw that I purchased got extremely hot. I like this saw with all it's neat features, but have a serious complaint. I know of other's (one's a co-worker) who ran into a similar problem. I ended up returning it all together Bosch say's it may be because of the big motor but who knows.
Changing the angle is incredibly simple and fast. I love the changing blade feature. The blades can be changed in literally seconds. Finally, some engineers got it right on thismodel. The balance is OK and the cutting is superb.
