Editorial Reviews:

You can avoid running generator cords through a door or window with the GenTran 30 Amp aluminum power inlet box. If your electrical panel is in the basement or an interior room, you'll need to mount this power inlet box on the exterior of your house or building and hardwire to transfer switch. You can connect generators up to 7,500 watts to this power inlet box during an outage. Constructed of rust-free aluminum, this box is rain-tight even when the cord is connected. The NEMA 3R-rated aluminum enclosure won't rust and it includes a NEMA L14-30 male inlet. It comes with a 2-year limited warranty.

User Comments about the GenTran 14302 30 Amp Aluminum Power Inlet Box for up to 7,500-Watt Generators

The cost for this product was fairly priced. Because of the design of this product, it is very suitable for for extreme weather conditions. The size of the box is kept minimal, so it can be installed just about anywhere you chose. If you have ever lost your electrical service and can't plug your portable generator directly to your transfer switch box, then I would recommend this product to get you connected to your transfer switch box and portable generator. After it is wired to your to your transfer switch, all you need is the cord to connect your house (via the inlet box) to your generator.
