I have been using the Versa-pak powered tools for years, and though they are underpowered by todays's standards, they still do the job. I recommend the gold over the standard, they give you a longer time between charges. These packs are expensive, but they are well made and long lasting, and if you want to continue to use the B&D tools, you have to have them.
This is a great battery it outlasts the regular vp batteries which means less charging time. Buy wit confidence I only have good things to say about the product and seller. Prompt shipping great packaging and overall a great purchase experience.

Still very good - drives my old VersaPack screwdriver and cordless drill just fine - no need to upgrade for smaller jobs around the house, the newer models aren't much better.
Batteries were new and fresh, and cheaper than at my local Lowes or Home Depot.
