Nailer works real well and is well built.Only issue was the DVD is not make for this tool.
Purchased gun to install 1/2" solid bamboo flooring was recommended by a lateral flooring manufacturer. That makes the foot retrofit a very expensive accessory, but with limited sales potential the high price the manufacturer probably justifies the price. It performed ok but jammed a few times and I had to shim angled foot to improve performance. I felt tool was a bit overpriced for a basic narrow crown stapler which can be purchased at any home improvement store for less tan $100.
I used the straight stapler to put down 1/4" underlayment first and it was perfect for that too. I just installed 500 square feet more in an ajoining room and didn't want to rent, or buy a gun that would be useless for any other application after I was finished. I put some Bruce Natural Reflections 5/16" floor down a few years ago and used the Bostich stapler and it worked fine, but it's only good for this specialized application. I purchased the Porta-Nailer because it could be converted to a straight stapler also. I can certainly recommend this tool. I used Porter Cable 1-1/4 staples and this tool worked flawlessly.
of Bellawood Brazilian Teak 5/16" floors without one problem from this tool. Perfect tool for the job. I installed 800 sq. Would highly recommend this tool to anyone. ft.
You may need to change this fitting depending on your air hose. There's also something not quite right with the feeder - it fires a staple about 75% of the time, and the rest of the time it dry-fires. The stapler arrived in a nice case and in good condition. The first problem came when connecting it to my air compressor - the fitting supplied with the stapler was a little out of spec and didn't let my air hose connection seat all the way, allowing the air hose to pop off. It's rugged and lightweight. However, the firing point is small enough that it's easy to position it on the tongue and lay flooring without the foot. All the negatives being said, though, it's a very easy to use stapler, lets you get in pretty tight places, it's simple to reload, and it's easy to see how many staples are in the magazine. I bought this stapler because of the removable flooring foot - a rare feature. Final issue - the flooring foot is designed for very thin flooring and is not adjustable. So once you get used to the misfire rate, you can go pretty fast with it. It didn't fit my 5/8" T&G flooring at all, so I ended up taking it off.
