I wouldn't bother with these. The plastic has become brittle and broken open, and one of the mounting screws had almost fallen out. The "wide" clamps are only as wide as the track itself, about 4 inches. If you really wanted a wide clamp, you could take a trip of plywood or hardwood, and screw it onto the guide bases instead of these clamps. Also, when mounted they result in the built in ruler on the guide to be off by about 1/4 inch, which is inconvenient. Finally, the original packaging was very poor.
I don't know how long these clamps have been around, but I've been waiting to find something like this for years. I've made and used some homemade straight edges but nothing ever worked so well and was so small and portable, I love it. I have never seen one used before but after using itI don't see how I did without it.
I really don't know about this product as I didn't recieve it. What I'm going to do is make them out of square wood stock. What they did send was just some cheap 1/2" angle pieces worth about $1.00 and you could get it at the hard ware store for about that and drill two holes and have a bedder product. Bad might be a bit strong. As usual amazon sent me the wrong product and I haven't called to clear the mess up. So SAVE YOUR MONEY on either of those extensions. Every time I order something from Amazon it comes wrong and I have to send it back several times and a few times they never did get it wright, and I never got the credit back on my card.
I personally don't like the All in One Clamp because it doesn't save you time but if you already bought it then you need this to make the clamp tight.
I had a cutting project that involved 1/4 inch plywood which had no margin for error. All cuts were dead on. The Wide Jaws were excellent at giving me additional gripping surface that prevented any movement at all.
