It came totally loaded just like it said. Grizzly named this one perfictly "ULTIMATE". Back to the accessories, this saw had everything but the tire brush. The quality of the factory blade is not real good, but is good if it is your first bandsaw. This is a great purchase. I had it up and running smooth in 20mins, the only problem I had was getting my wife to help lift it. Totally the best tool I have purchased on line with out playing the "hands on game" It is not light my recommendations would be to get a rolling stand if you have limited space and move tools in and out to use them.
The fit and finish are excellent. I paid just over $500 to get the saw, riser block, and 2 extra blades. The fence has an easy to read scale that is real easy to set up.I made one mistake when assembling the saw. I just assembled this saw with the riser block option. It is a great saw. Many standard features on this saw are an extra expense on other saws costing much more. The table top is ground to perfection. I used the wrong set of threaded holes when I installed the fence, and it made the front fence rail too high.
I have used it very little so far, so this review is just my first impression. The Jet and Delta versions of this are $650 without a riser, and they come with no fence and no miter gauge. It is a quiet running saw and it was not difficult to set up. After I realized my mistake it was very easy to take it off and re-install using the proper holes. The alignment is good and the adjustments are easy.
I ordered the riser kit with this saw, so I don't know how it works without the kit. I love this saw. But, the kit installed fine and everything was in alignment and works as expected.
Fit and finnish is very good. When cutting with the grain it catches the long fibers and plugs up. I havent done any resawing yet but I expect the bs to do this task as well as it does everything I have done sofar. Grizzly G0555 is a great band saw. Just something you have to pay attention to.
I bought the rizer block kit for this bs and it was excellent, easy to install and when installed the upper and lower wheels were lined up within.005, better than the origal set up that was.011. only had to adjust the extended blade guard, witch rubbed the upper wheel when in the fully up position. The only real complaint I have is with the dust control fitting. It is cast within the bottom casting and has a grid across the opening.
It runs very smooth and quiet, and has a nice 4" dust which keeps the cutting area fairly clean. Overall a great saw for the money. This saw was reasonably priced compared with many others I looked at, and included accessories others did not (particularly a nice guide fence, miter gauge, and tools to put it together). By the way, Grizzly provided great packing and quick shipping. It took very little adjusting to make everything square. The blade that comes with it is a rough cut blade and leaves a lot of saw marks, but that obviously can be changed out depending on your needs. The saw is very heavy and takes two men to move, but very stable as a result.
It was easy to set up and works like a charm. The table tilts easily and smoothly, the angles are correct, and the saw stands at a good height. This is a great deal. Very little vibration and no movement.
