If I had more room I would probably get the bigger pitcher because this one seems to run out of water quickly. It's very small but can hold a decent amount of water. I bought this pitcher for my dorm room so I don't have to drink the awful water they provide us with. The lid and filter device is cheap material, but that's fine because it does it's purpose in filtering the water. A great product. For the price, you can't beat this.
This means you're not going to get a lot of water before needing to refill. The filters do not lock into place. I've inadvertently dropped two filters in the sink while attempting to pour the carbon pieces out of the tank. The lids also fall into the tank if not placed on carefully. I would seriously consider shopping around before purchasing this product. The bottom of the filter always needs to be wet, so it doesn't dry.
Excellent choice for college student as it fits in dorm fridge and cuts down on cost of bottled waters as well as the need to transport and store water bottles. Be sure to follow directions and run water through the filter before you use, otherwise you'll get black stuff in your water.
While I like the pitcher for its easy fit in my refrigerator, I am disappointed by how little it holds and how frequently I have to refill it. Messy and difficult. Honestly, two good glasses of water, and you've got to start again. More frustrating than that is the fact that when you get to the bottom of the pitcher, the angle you are pouring out causes the inset reservoir to fall out of the pitcher.
I consider this purchase a steal. I think the water absolutely tastes better than water out of the faucet and if it filters out substances harmful to me than that's an added bonus.Brita 42629 Slim PitcherBrita 42629 Slim Pitcher I received what was in the description and was surprised to see that it came with my first filter free. Not sure if it stated that in the description.
