User Comments about the MK Diamond 158434 MK-225 Hot Dog 7-Inch Wet Cutting Continuous Rim Diamond Saw Blade with 5/8-Inch Arbor for Porcelain and Vitreous Tile

takes a long time to break in blade, not any better then the 40 dollar blade from home depot, still using so can't say if it last any longer, but blade works well, had to give it a try, once i broke it in worked well.

Nice blade, maybe a bit overkill for a DIY on a small job. The porcelain as expected it cut through like butter, but it did just as good of job on the travertine w/ no chipping. It was installed in a Husky 7" Wet saw w/ stand (THD-950) Worth it if you've got > 500sqft to do. I used it for 500sqft of Porcelain tile and another 250sqft of travertine.

Blade works great put it on a ridgid 7" wet saw and it cuts very well - no chips so far. As far as granite I will update. Used to cut ceramic and porcelain tile.

Excellent, Exceptional, Great, Terrific. the blade is showing signs of getting dull, but still cutting well.If you've worked with ceramic but not porcelain tiles, you REALLY NEED this blade.I would buy these blades again in a heartbeat.I need to find out if they also make wood cutting blades. This blade is absolutely wonderful.I destroyed 5 carbide and 1 diamond scroll saw blades trying to cut a 9 inch cicle divided between 2 porcelain tiles.Having run out of scroll saw blades, I cut many slots in the tiles, at different angles until I removed enoughof the tile to fit where it was needed.I also cut about 200 porcelain tiles.

Just one thing to be aware of; for the first 30-40LF or so this blade is VERY aggressive cutting until the rim settles in, try to avoid any critical edge cuts at first. I ordered these based upon the recommendation of my tile supplier for a 2000 SF porcelain tile project (they didn't have my size in stock). Now I can't see using any other blade for porcelain at this point. After it settles in it strikes a great balance between longevity, cut speed and cut quality. They lasted a whole lot longer than I expected them to at this price point.
