This wrench will work for most small tune up jobs around the house and on your bike, I wouldn't use it for heavy duty torque jobs like on cars. however I recently discovered you can buy a set at target for around $20 that includes this size.
What I like most is the measurements just below the moving bit. It helps save a few extra turns of adjustment. The rubber grip is nice too.
One kind soul has it for the 12". The maximum jaw width of the 6" wrench is 19mm (3/4"). This key piece of information is missing in the specifications of the Stanley adjustable wrenches. Thanks. Will other reviewers please include it for the 8" and 10" wrenches.
It's an adjustable wrench, pretty straight forward.Good quality, looks nice (first point is more important than the second, but there it is).It adjusts and holds its size better than other tools by major manufacturers that I've used in the past.Although I haven't used the grip in wet or cold environments, I imagine it would suit better in both of those situations. Review cross-posted to cover the different sizes I've used (6", 8", & 10"). As it is, having the grip helps provide a better feel, if not more torque.
Stanley products are generally well made. The 8" would have been a better choice. The reason I chose this wrench is because my hands are small and I thought it would be easier to handle. But this one is way to small.
