This drill has a lot of torque, solid feel, and seems durable. Batteries charge fast and last a long time. We've used these in our lab for many years and abused them quite a bit, and they've come through great. I do wish it had bubble levels mounted in the casing on the side and on the opposite end from the chuck, like some Craftsman drills do.
If you screw frequently, as many of us do, then this device is for you. You see, I have found that high alcohol consumption may lead to instantaneous, inappropriate, sometimes regrettable and often very sloppy screwing that no one really appreciates when the task is complete.I recommend to anyone having the desire to improve their screwing ability, aim and stamina, to go ahead and purchase this device because at times, all of us require a screwing partner. I try to screw as often as possible and admit that in my younger days, I preferred to screw manually without the aid of any sort of electrical apparatus. As I think back, I never had any complaints unless I screwed after drinking a little too much.
As I have come to expect, this is another really great tool from Porter Cable. The cordless chuck even has a "lock up" feature that automatically locks the gears when you are manually changing bits (ever wrestle with the other kind). Very strong drive and what appears to be really good battery life.
This drill has great power. We highly recomend this product. We are building our home, and this drill is handling every job we use it on with ease. It has the greatest torque of any drill we saw, and enough power to do any task.
I bought this about a year ago and it works perfectly. Plenty of power.
