Editorial Reviews:

When you need perfect, tight joints, the DELTA 34-184 Universal-Deluxe Tenoning Jig will give you professional results every time. The DELTA 34-184 is designed to work with any table saw with a 3/8-inch by 3/4-inch miter slot, standard on almost all table saws. It is made of durable, CNC precision milled cast iron, and can be used with both right and left tilt saws. The jig can be adjusted from 45 to 90 degrees with adjustable positive stops, and there's a micro-fine adjustment knob for fine width-of-cut settings down to 4/1000-inch. By pushing a button, you can make for macro adjustments.

Unlike most jigs that require tools to make adjustments, the DELTA 34-184 features a large thumbscrew that allows for tool-less adjustments. With two ergonomic handles, you'll be able to make smooth cuts every time easily and comfortably. The jig handles up to 3-1/4-inch thick stock and features a quick-release hold down clamp for efficient work. The jig measures 11.8 x 12 x 8.2 inches and weighs 21.3 pounds. It is backed by a 2-year warranty.

User Comments about the Delta 34-184 Universal-Deluxe Tenoning Jig

But the jig is too far out of square for that to work. It had better fit, finish and function at 1/3rd the price. No. The jig won't square to the saw blade---the recommended squaring method is to loosen the mitre guide screws and retighten. The only good thing I can say about this jig is that I bought it from Amazon and they took it back and paid for shipping.

It tilts to 78 degrees only.My previous tenonning jig from Grizzley was lost in a move. None of the problems in the previous negative reviews have been addressed. The screws are still weak and line up poorly with their holes. The paint is still dorky. Buy the Grizzley over the Delta. And the product description implies the work plate tilts to 45 degrees.

I was finally told to grind the washers off that are located at the end of the guide. I have written the seller, Temberline, numerious times. This seems to be a great tool but is usless to me without a proper solution to fitting it to my table saw.I have jst purchased a Delta mortising jig that works fine.David E. Now I have been requesting a return authorization, and still with no reply. The tendoning jig doesn't fit my Craftsman table saw. This will void any warranty. Formby I have asked for other solutions several more times and have not received a reply.

The Delta 34-184 Universal-Deluxe Tenoning Jig didn't fit my Table saw. However the jig didn't fit. They shipped very qickly and was satisfied with the service.

This has been reviewed as the best Tenoning jig and this source was at least $20 below other market costs and was delivered quickly and in perfect shape.

Having two handles on the tool promotes safe operation. What's up with the paint. The holes were drilled out of allignment in the base. This seems strange since most saws are now left tilt. The clamp bar allows adjustment front to back so clamping pressure can be placed exactly where you want it. Even on the same part.

If the tool is built using a CNC machine, it should be impossible. Delta must be using low skilled laborers to manually drill the holes, that's the only way it could happen. I own several Delta tools - DJ-20 jointer, variable speed grinder, protable bench jointer, 12 1/2" portable planer. I hope Delta gets their act together and focuses on quality. Use an accurate square when setting up your cuts just to be sure.I believe this tool is the best in class, but the fit and finish could be better. As most will attest, the tool comes set for a right tilt saw. It is beyond me how that happens.

(What was the quality inspector doing when this mistake went by). This operation requires you to remove the guide and adjuster and relocate the guide to another set of pre-drilled holes. Minor gripe, but it goes towards quality.Operation: The design is excellent. When I re-assembled the tool, I could not square it to the table. So, off to my drill press to open up the hole. They need to get back to their former glory. Even after I got the packing grease off, the paint was not the same color.
