The DELTA JT160 Shopmaster 10 Amp 6-Inch Benchtop Jointer uses a variable speed motor and two-knife cutterhead configuration with jack-screw knife leveling arrangement for easy replacement and adjustments. The 30 x 6-3/16 inch table provides support for surfacing stock up to six inches wide, including soft woods, hard woods, and plastics. The speedy 10 Amp motor spins at 6,000-11,000 RPM, which makes the dual-cutter turn at 12,000-22,000 CPM. The center-mounted fence provides ample support throughout the cut for precise edge jointing, and it tilts out at 45 degrees for added versatility.

I have a few Delta tools and I was surprised of the poor "accuracy" of this product. All in all, after the hassle during set up with the shimming, it does have decent construction and provides as a good small shop jointer for under $300. The in feed table was not completely flat with the outfeed table at zero clearance and needed to be shimmed in order to get an accurate "flat" jointed edge; disappointed to say the least from a Delta tool.

I bought this unit and tried to set things up so everything was flush and true only to discover that the infeed table was badly warped. I am really sorry I bought this thing and will never purchase another delta tool. I took it in for service and they had the gall to charge me for repairs. The fence is horrible.

The jointer set up in a manner of minutes. I am wondering if it's kind of luck-of-the-draw item.see what you are going to get when you open the box. I like the control knobs and switches. I went ahead and bought it and I have been pleasantly surprised. I was really concerned about purchasing this jointer because of the high amount of negative reviews.

The product feels like higher quality that the $197 that I spent (sorry Amazon, not purchased here.). However, with my limited space and budget, I didn't have much of a choice. The fence is not the best thing that I have ever seen, but it only took me about three minutes to get it square. I think that if you are looking for a small price and a space saver, you will be happy with this jointer. I only plan on jointing ninety degree edges, so the fence issues don't really bother me.

This is the second Delta benchtop jointer I've owned and I love it. It is a well engineered and solidly constructed piece of equipment that does a great job. It takes up little more space than a briefcase and yet does a great job. A certain amount of care is necessary when jointing long pieces, due to the short table length, but anyone buying this item will know that going in.

This jointer is a gift for someone, have opened it up to check it and plug it in to make sure that the motor runs ,But have not did any work with it , but at this time and what I have seen it looks good.Thank You.
