Cut through some aluminum beams and bolts like butter. Has a great feel to it and I know it will last me a lifetime.
I've only been using this for 1 week and i still have the same blade. changing blades is very easy even a 4 yr old could do it. i highly recommend it n its well worth the price. i work using hacksaw mostly everyday. the guys at work love the hacksaw, its the best hacksaw they say they've used in decades of working construction.
in the past i purchased a few hacksaws, at first they tend to hold the blades straight but as times pass with the use of them they bend the blades and eventually the teeth keep breaking. i would have to be changing blades everyday or two with my old hacksaw. but with this beast my blades last longer. this hacksaw feels very comfortable.
Like all the others, I'm very pleased with this saw. The Dewalt is a keeper. It has comfortable grips and a very easy method of changing and tensioning the blades. My old saw, by comparison, is a real pig for blade changes.
Throw away your old ones and quickly back away - to get one of these. Saw some pipe to build up your biceps. There's little to say that isn't in the product description - it does what you expect it to do and it does it very, very well. You can also drop your gym membership. This puppy is heavy.
The overall feel of the saw is that it is very solid and very capable to tackle the toughest of projects. I had high expectations for this hacksaw and it impressed me on all of them. It is very sturdy saw and is able to tear through projects they used to take a lot of strokes before. I recommend this on to any of my friends and I'm not disappointed at all in my purchase. I haven't changed the blade yet but it does look very easy to change.
