Good addition to the shop. This unit is more than strong enough to hold the lathe steady. It is well made of box beams and channel iron. Ps: I griped about the cost of the extension bar to accomodate the lathe extension I also bought, but it was also well made and allows me to turn much longer pieces. The welds and finish are superior and there were no missing parts or hardware.
Dont let the price scare you off on this. The Jet was my first and only choice.The mini stand is a sold well built item. But its not difficult at all.finish is good.Lathe attaches well and produces a solid vibration free working space.overall a 5* in my mind.
