Editorial Reviews:

This construction stapler accepts 1- to 2-inch, 16-gauge standard crown staples. It is the ideal stapler for sheathing, lattice work or underlayment. At only 4.4 pounds, it is well-balanced to make work a breeze. The durable grip adds comfort while preventing slippage. Loading and reloading staples is easy with a top load open magazine. The user can quickly check staple quantity so that blank drives are avoided. This stapler features a tool-less, easy-to-clear nose for quick and simple extraction should a staple jam during use. A simple turn of the depth of drive dial allows the user to easily adjust the drive depth, accommodating woods of varying density for appropriate holding power based on the application. Combined with Hitachi’s 5-year warranty, this stapler is guaranteed to deliver for years to come.

User Comments about the Hitachi N5008AC 1-Inch to 2-Inch 7/16-Inch Medium Crown 16 Gauge Stapler

I am a bit concerned about the operation at start-up. It will not set the staple until you waste a dozen or so to "warm up" the gun. It takes a dozen or so staples to get it to working correctly.

Several years ago I switched to Hitachi framers and (15 gauge) finish nailers and have never had a single breakdown - and they're used day in and day out. I've tried many brands of nail guns - Senco, Porter Cable and others, only to have them go belly up and face a repair bill which is greater than the cost of the original gun. Not a single glitch in that many firings. It was superb. I'm a redwood/cedar fencing contractor. Recently I contacted to build a 300+ foot wire fence. I highly recommend this stapler. Not wanting to hand hammer 4 to 5 thousand staples, I bought a Hitachi N5008AC Stapler.

Depth adjustment is decent. So far I have shot almost 10,100 staples through it without a jam. I have also used this tool for Sheetrock strapping using 2" staples, but primarily cedar shingle siding. If you are using kiln dried white cedar shingles you don't want to be hitting them with 110 psi even if the depth is set, get me. A very solid staple gun. haven't used that to much so far. A great multipurpose and light gun. I turn my compressor down or up according to application anyway.

I have two of these and they work great, hitachi makes superior air nailers and this is no exception.

this gun has worked perfectly for years, so i bought another one.adjustable depth is very nice and the lightweight makes all day shooting easier. highly recommended.
