This being my first time to you this type of system. Looks very professional due to the gun itself. I am very pleased with the results.
A high CFM air compressor would help too, because I sometimes wait while mine recharges.Perhaps the biggest surprise for me was just how easy the unit is to setup and to cleanup. I am mostly running it with a portable Dewalt air compressor. I have found this product to be easy to use and I get good results, even with a smaller than ideal air compressor.I have mostly been using it with a 2.2 mm nozzle and latex paint mixed with Floetrol. Perfect atomization of the thicker latex paints is tricky, but possible. I find the cleanup easier, for example, than cleaning a roller, and therefore it makes the product more pleasant to use. The key is slightly higher pressure (well within the manufacturer's limit).
I tried latex paint (thinned) with the 1.5 and it was a big problem. This thing is amazing for the price. Made me a pro. Have fun. Super easy to use as well, but definitely get the 2.0mm insert.
I'm very happy with this spray gun. This is my first spray gun and I found it very easy to use, it just took some practice to adjust the spray.
This is a good gun. Here's what worked for me, after MUCH experimentation, when spraying Zar Ultra Max Urethane.'X' marks the spot: AV (Air Volume) at bottom of gun:Open / Down / Increase 0 - - - 1 - - X 2 - - - Closed / Up / DecreasePA (Pattern Adjust) on left of gun:Open/CCW 0 - - - 1 X - - 2 + Closed/ClockWFC (Fluid Control) at upper back:Open / Out /Increase 0 - - - 1 - - - 2 - - - 3 - - - 4 - - - 5 - - - 6 - - - X - - - 8 - - - 9 - - - Close/DecreaseRegulator on gun: 45 to 50 psi, and on the compressor itself, 95-100 psi (see mfgr's recommended limits for the gun). Need to get the settings right; they are not adjusted from the factory at all.
