User Comments about the Stanley Flat Max 51-944 20-Ounce AntiVibe Rip Claw Nailing Hammer

The hammer was cracked when I got it and I had to replace it less than a week after I got it

I have had great luck with this hammer. I recommend it to anyone It has been very durable and is well balanced.

The hammer drove the new 3 inch nails with ease. It has not disappointed. When I bought my first house I knew I'd need a real hammer, this one was on sale, so it won. I most recently used it to disassemble and beef up some shelving. I do believe the anti-vibration works, my arm wasn't sore at all like would have been with my smaller hammer. The claw worked great for prying apart some of the boards.

I have others that I like better, but there is really nothing wrong with this one. Nothing fancy here. Just a hammer. Don't really know what I was expecting, but it is just a hammer. I wanted a 20-ounce claw hammer, and that is what I got.

I like my hammer. It only took me 30 years to figure this out, but you get what you pay for, cliche' I know, but true - no more of those 3/$1 hammers at Timmy and Tina's discout tools. It is a good hammer. Good weight distribution, good leverage, cool look (minus the safety warning sticker - I blame Ralph Nader, Helen Thomas and other self-righteous liberals).
