Not sure about other brands.I laid out all the parts on a big sheet of paper and numbered them on the paper according to the instruction sheet. You have to disassemble the entire router to install the raizer. I have yet to have a problem with Amazon. Small adjustments are easy and precise.For the money, it is pretty hard to beat this product.I recommend the router raizer.Got a good price with Amazon. Lots of parts, the instructions are a little difficult to follow, but if you study them closely they make sense.The porter cable router is one of the more difficult to install the kit in I think. This made it easier to identify the parts as I needed them. I always look there first when considering a purchase. There are left over parts because this kit fits a number of routers.It took me a couple of hours to install, but I took my time.The raizer works well, goes up and down easily and makes bit changes easy.

I love add-ons such as this, ones that add function. It will get the job done but.eh.I bought this for quite less than full price, but still find it unworthy.(And it does fit the Ridgid R2930 just fine, still i use the built in above table adjustment on it). But the value on this one is just not here.Unless you have a router that you absolutely dont want to give up, if i did it again, id put the money to a router with above table adjustment.

There are absolutely no negatives. This is one cool tool with a fair price. I installed it on an older Hitachi TR in conjunction w/the Xtreme Xtension.

With help from Bob at Router Technologies the Router Raizer was easy to install in my existing plate and works great. I highly recomend both the Router Raizer and the Xtreme Extension. Any questions or problems you have are answered quickly. I have been looking for a router lift for my existing router plate for some time. The best of all is the customer service provided by Bob at Router Technologies.

My plate is 8" X 11" and there are no other router lifts this size I could find. I also purchased the Xtreme Extension made by Router Technologies. I am able to easily change bits above the table without a wrench. I am using a Dewalt DW625 router and this set up works perfectly.

After purchasing this item, reading the instructions completely and understanding them I decided I didnt want to screw up my router with drilling it out etc. I bought a Woodpeck lift instead and sold the Raizer on ebay.
