Fell apart first use. Pad is terrible. Not recommended. The 7424 is awesome.
Though I've only used these for waxing so far, I really like them. If the pad gets too saturated, probably a good idea to switch before it sprays you. Makes for a quick and even application that saves your arms as well as your time. One time towards the end of a large vehicle, the wax seemed to retreat out of the pad all of a sudden, giving me more and more wax without any application.
Probably used this pad two dozen times over last three years (Explorer, Bonneville and minivan)I see no sign of wear. Wash between/before use - still original pad that came with my 7424 polisher.
The pad worked very well and produced a swirl free shine. I waxed both a Suburban and a large enclosed motorcycle trailer. Over though,. The pad is not ready to fall of but, it will surely not last for several uses. I used this polishing pad for the first time this weekend. I washed the pad after both applications. I lke them and I will continue to buy them even at $12 a pop. I noticed after the second washing that the glue seemed to be affected by the process.
Should come with the purchase of the buffer. Does not last that long but does the job.
