Worked great on drywall.not so great on anything else I tried to cut out. General Purpose should be drywall only.1/8 is not that big and they tend to easily break as can be expected by the size of the shaft.
I have forever been a faithful user of all Dewalt products, they don't fail, they are long lasting, come with a warrenty on most all tools, if you need to choose a tool , from any type, I say choose Dewalt, reasonable prices, great perfromance.
I needed some extra bits as well. If you go too fast, you will definitely break these bits. It's probably par for the course, but make sure if you are gonna cut out either a door or a window to use the 1/4" bit, they work great. I was remodeling a basement for a customer and gonna be hanging a bunch of drywall with lots of cuts. I ended up breaking about 8 bits through the course of the job.
I decided to purchase the dewalt cutout tool to save time since I work by myself. I got both 1/8" and 1/4". The 1/8" are for outlets and recessed lights. When I started using these bits, they seemed pretty good, but be careful not to go too fast.
It you are going to do alot of cutting in dense woods, I recomend you get yourself one of their bits with the carbide burrs (dw6613). Overall the general purpose bit is pretty good. For the price you can stock-up on them without breaking the bank.Be careful if cutting through dense woods. It is designed for tile and stucco so, it should not have any problem with hard woods. The bit heats up fast and can dull prematurely as a result.
