It just worked as expected but I believe the original bulb was far more brighter. Hope this will last over a year.

No fumbling. I own two mag lite rechargeables. I place them each near doors in our home. I LOVE THIS LIGHT. When the power goes out, I know right where it is.
There are a lot of other choices out there.I've had mine for 14 years now on the beat and it still works. I do find myself not using it a lot anymore because of the brightness of the flaslight. So in other words I've only bought one battery to replace the old one. If you want to get a really bright light maybe the maglite isn't good enough anymore if we can't keep it bright. These work but they are not even close to putting out any where near the amount of light the older xenon bulbs use to.
It's lasted a long time so I guess I can't complain. They're not 7 bucks a piece either so I guess it might be a down side but you're getting about 3x the bulbs for the money. I've only had 2 batteries in it. it's like a regular 3 cell anymore. I charge when it only needs to be charged.
I love this bulb that works in the rechargable flashlight. The price has came down on these bulbs also. I have used this in power outages for an hour untill the battery died. It lit up the whole room nicely.
