User Comments about the Dremel 1453 Chain Saw Sharpening Attachment

But wow, I knew when I got it right. Took some trial & error to figure out which grinder I should be using, & which spacers. Anything more is just shortening the life of the blades. This attachment makes my Dremel even more indispensable. You only need 1 or 2 passes on each one. This attachment is usable with 3 sizes of chain saw cutters. My saw went from cutting nothing, to slicing through branches in seconds.Search youtube for videos showing how this thing is supposed to be used. Just sharpening a few chains lets it pay for itself. Once you see it in action, it is a snap to use.I use a sharpie marker to dot each blade that has been sharpened.

The instructions were a bit vague. I would recommend this sharpner. Once I figured out the method to use the sharpner it worked better than I expected.

The tool is excellent. I can now sharpen my chainsaw better and faster than using a manual file.

This is an excellent purchase for anyone who drops their chains off and gets pissed off when they discover how much of the teeth was removed, (shortening the life of the chain). I found I got best results using cool-grind and a "light touch", the guide is not necessary.

I've just used this sharpener today. The chain was sharp and worked great afterwards. It worked just as you would expect.
