The cordless option in great, but as said in other reviews, it will only last around 15 minutes after being charged for three hours. If you are looking for a quick tool to fix small problems, this would be efficient, but if you are looking for a new tool to add to your collection, I would highly recommend paying a high price for much higher quality. You can cut anything from paper to solid steel (Ya, I actually did), and the variety of attachments beats almost any tool out there. However, I've been spoiled with an older generation Dremel with 5 speeds and a full metal casing. A Dremel is one of the best tools out there in terms of variability. After relieving this Dremel as a gift, I am disappointed with the build quality of it. Hope this review helps. To me, the three stage switch (2-0-1) feels really cheap and isn't what I would call real Dremel quality.
The Dremel item is fine as with all Dremel products. It is less expensive at Walmart, so check their prices first
I thought I could use this to file the toenails off my Dog. I have one of these with a cord. I went to my foot Dr. I am very pleased with the things I buy from Amazon. and they used a cordless on my feet to take Callas off my feet.
The dremel 7700 rotary tool is handy in that it is cordless and allows you to move about easily. For anyone needing a moderate power the dremel 7700 is under powered. However, the battery life does not last very long, especially when you are working on projects that require a lot of torque.
My Dremel works exactly how I expected it to. I haven't used all the functions yet, but I am excited to start new projects with it.
