Go to a Black and Decker Outlet Store. My suggestion. 3 for $5 is the regular price. 3 packs for 5.00 - Fine, Medium, or an assortment available. If you own the sanders that require this paper.I have several.then you have to have it. We have one in Seaside Oregon. All I usually need is the paper although the scrubbing pad included in some packages has been useful, especially for scrubbing pool coping. Price.
That said, if you have a project of any real size in mind, either order several of these Kits or be sure to also order a couple extra packages of the specific individual Black & Decker sandpaper or polishing pad you need for that project. I'm just saying to be realistic in recognizing that this item is purely an introductory starter kit -- like a variety pack of gum or lunch meat -- so it naturally only includes a couple sheets of each sandpaper type. For what it is, however, I highly recommend it. As starter kits go, the Black & Decker 74-580 Mouse Sanding/Polishing Kit is an excellent choice -- a good selection of sandpapers and polishers in various degrees of coarseness to try. A real project, though, may require 5, 10, or more sheets.
Each one is useful, each one fits the Black & Decker Mouse perfectly, and each one is high enough in quality to endure a small sanding or cleaning project. [Black & Decker 74-671 Mega Mouse Paper Coarse (80-Grit), for example, or Black & Decker 74-672 Mega Mouse Paper - Medium (120-Grit)] I bought this Kit to finish removing paint from small, detailed areas of a cabinet I was stripping, but had to run out to the hardware store to pick up more halfway through because it ran out before I was done. I clearly had not ordered enough. This is not a criticism, although it may sound like it.
This looks like the best deal in replacement accessories for the sander polisher. I tried putting together my own sandpaper, but after the cost of the velcro and the imperfect fit, I went back to the B&D accessories. I find that I have to buy replacement sandpaper (especially the fine grit) more often (separate package).
