Checkpoint 675 Inclo-Matic Laser LevelTried to use this small fishing anchor on 3 seperate days to no avail.Cannot re-calibrate.For low work, have to stand on my head with a magnifying glass to read the digital numbers, which are wrong any way. Big Mistake.
Usually, Checkpoint levels have very strong magnets. It does seem solid and durable, and I like the bull's eye level on the top of it. This level was a little bulkier than I expected. I have also found the laser function useful. My biggest complaint is the magnets. I use my level primarily for bending conduit, but this level isn't very good for that since it needs at least three of its four magnets to secure it to the pipe. The level is significantly bulkier and heavier than a standard Checkpoint level.
I do find it useful, but am overall disappointed by this level. On this one, however, they're not very strong (they won't hold up a stick of conduit for example). I won't give it a high rating, however, do to the weakness of its magnets. So, its weaker magnets are peculiar.
I shoot the laser from one support to another (regardless of distance), make my mark and "BAM" - it's level. As an instrument and tubing installer in the construction of off-shore drilling rigs, I rely on a good level to make my tubing level. I should have had one of these long ago. No more guessing or make-do extensions when my 2' or 4' level "came up short".I highly recommend one if your job requires accuracy.JGLIngleside, TX It has been a great help in running support tray and tubing over wide gaps and long distances and still keeping everything "on the level".
This level is built to last and made to handle any kind of job. The body is solid aluminum, which means it can take a beating and remain accurate. Whether building a wall or setting cabinets, the laser makes the job faster and easier. Nice touches like the centering notch and the 30 degree vial, make it invaluable.
