To insert a bit into the Makita Ultralok, you have to pull the collar back and insert the bit--a two-handed operation. The drill bits are decent. With the DeWalt Rapid Load, you just push the bit in as it is spring-loaded. I would give this 1 star, but most of the hex shank holders work the way the Makita does, and the Makita is of good quality.
I purchased the Makita 784873-A 7-Piece UltraLok Set for my husband who owns the Makita 6233DWBLE 3/8" drill. This was a great investment. The bits fit into the drill wonderfully and changing them is easy and goes qiuckly. The 7 different bit sizes are great for the many tasks that you can do with this drill.
