The level works great however we thought that the module could be removed for use without the long level for long distance trips since it can be purchased separately, but it does not have a housing for the 9v battery.
Just the fact that all you need to do is hear the tone to know that your on level with out trying to use your "calibrated" eye ball. If you only buy one "Fancy" level, take my word for it you'll need to buy two, both the 24" and 48" these levels are easy to use, my 15y/o son can even use this one, and he has. Thank you M-D for making a quality tool that can last and is easy to use. I first received this level, as a gift from a good friend of mine that has been in wood working most of his life. And don't forget the cases.
Most guys would love to have a small portion of his wood shop in their home ( I know I would) I've used it a few times and got some nice results with it, but it wasn't until I had to level out a bath room floor that I found out on what I was missing out on. Also trying to figure out rafter pitch or how much a floor or joist is out of level, this one tells you on a dime. I liked it so much I also purchased the 48" one. Now I'm waiting for the 96" to come out.
These tools are indispensible. Great tool. We have used them in the City of Plano Parks Dept. Amazon got it to me quickly and packaged securely. to check out trail layout for years.
My husband is a carpenter and does alot of trim work especially stairways. He really thinks it's the "berries" and wonders how he worked without it. The item was purchased for him and he had used one of his co-workers so knew that was what he wanted.
I use the level for forensic analyses and need to have accurate measurements of angles. This level works great and when bought through this deal, you save additional money over buying the level and case separately.
