User Comments about the Milwaukee 48-89-0050 29-Piece 1/16-Inch to 1/2-Inch Cobalt Twist Drill Bit Assortment in Metal Index

These were the highest reviewed drill set within reason - not disappointed. Highly recommended. Sharp, durable, complete.

The only thing that would be nice is if they had a drill bit size guide on the back, like my cheaper set did. They cut quick, clean, and just great. Took a little convincing to spend the money on these, but I bit the bullet and I'm glad I did. I'm using them to build my Cobra Replica and I have yet to build one, even after drilling through all sorts of materials and hundreds of holes. Just a minor thing, but would be a nice addition. Very happy with this purchase and I'd recommend them to anyone.

I read the reviews on these bits and decided to give them a try. To sum it up, spend the money. I am now a believer and will only use these cobalt bits from now on. The job seemed impossible. I never appreciated the difference between these cobalt bits and the high speed steel and titanium coated steel bits.

They really hold their edge and seem much more heat resistant than non-cobalt bits. Well, as I struggled to drill through the steel, I burned up a couple titanium coated bits even though I was spraying WD40 as a lubricant on the holes being drilled. They drilled through the steel like it was wood. These bits are really worth the price. Unbelievable the difference these cobalt bits made.

DRILLED A 1/4 INCH HOLE IN MY MIDDLE FINGER ON MY LEFR HAND, IF IT WERE NOT FOR THE BONE I WOULD HAVE GONE STRAIGHT THRU MY NAIL. WOW these bits are the best I have used in years. All of my old bits were dull. My Dad always said " Son if you are going to be STUPID you better be tough." KW I put one of the new bits in my cordless drill and.

I wasn't sure if this was a good gift for Dad for Father's Day but mine loved them, turned out to be a great gift.
