This is a great product, especially for the thin kerf saw blades. However, it does limit the depth of cut and it must be removed to use the entire available depth of the saw blade for deeper cuts. The cuts are super smooth.
I use this on my table saw with a thin kerf blade. Seems to have less wobble, though there wasn't much to begin with.
I use it on my dewalt portable it gives smoother cuts only drawback is you can't cut as deep with it.
I see a improvement on hardwood when ripping. Maybe Forrest may not know what's going on after package the dampener and put it in storage. I may send email to Forrest to ask why. I bought forrest stif05 & Forrest WW10407100 Woodworker II 10-Inch 40 Tooth ATB.100 Kerf Saw Blade with 5/8-Inch Arbor at Amazon.I try the blade w/o dampener and stiffener then w/ it. The only thing I don't like. On the woodworker II blade, The joint carbide tip and the blade has similar condition, but it was ship with protect vinyl around the edge. I receive the product in rusty condition.I can't recognize the Forrest print on the dampener.
This didn't really do anything for me. Maybe if you had some kind of problems with your blade wobbling, you might appreciate this. Of course, my old makita table saw was totally stable before I put it on. It just didn't add anything.
