It's not the cheapest of blades but it will surely last me a long time. Purchased blade for a cottage deck job. The cuts came out very crisp and smooth. Sanding cuts down was never an option.
Added to a Bosch 4410L 15-Amp 10-Inch Dual Bevel Sliding Compound Miter Saw and now get glass smooth cuts. This blade, as with all blades from Freud, is well worth the money.
Believe it or not, this is the first time I have purchased anything on-line, and it was a great experience. I think I am a convert to on-line buying I don't know if other sites as customer friendly as is Amazon.com, but it was a rewarding experience because it was so easy to do and the tracking ability was great.
The blade cuts ver smoothly and substantially reduces the tendency for the saw blade climb the workpiece when used on a radial arm saw.
I had been experiencing some burning with my previous blade on some woods especially when making miter cuts. Sounds to me like an overheating problem maybe due to alignment or forcing cuts when dull. I have never experienced the red coating coming off on the wood as others have stated. It feels very comfortable and I'm sure it's due to the negative hook. I figured I'd give this blade a try based on feedback and other info on woodworking sites.I was not disappointed.
This includes several other Freud blades that I use. Cuts great on my Makita 1013 slider. Tried this one on ply, fir and oak. I have seen some minor wear of the coating on 7 1/2" framing blades after heavy and prolonged use. Smooth cuts no burn.
