This book is just like the others in this series. This book would have given me the knowledge to correctly select materials, emphasize specific procedures, oversee the work knowledgeably and to finally inspect the completed work. I had my roofing replaced eight years ago and I wish I had read this book then. I have ordered several books in the For Pros by Pros series. It is informative, detailed and good reading. This is great information to have for a few dollars when considering a $5000-$8000 roofing job. Even if you care not to apply this information as a DIY'er you will be well informed if you plan to hire a roofing company to repair or replace roofing.
Although this book is a collection of articles taken from Fine Homebuilding magazine, there is much to learn from. Very helpful and useful. Covers nearly every type of roofing material including 3-tab, architectural, metal, slate, aluminum, and more. Also covers every aspect from tear-off to underlayment and flashing.
Thanks, this was the right book at the right time. Was a great reference to help me remember what a decade had helped me forget. As I type, the roof is done and should hold the water outside.
